Author's Note: I was very...hmm...very upset with the finale to say the least and I tried to fix it, I tried my best to come up with something that could make it all better but I found most of the summer it was just easier to ignore the last two episodes and pretend they never happened. Unfortunately they happened and one night I found myself so angry with my real life I could explode. So I channeled that anger and wrote this while listening to the song "You Can't Break a Broken Heart" by Kate Voegele. It seemed to fit and after going over this fic I was inspired to make an angry, broken Steve fanmix...which I have a feeling will turn into a ficmix before I'm finished with it! LOL So, I hope you enjoy!

Part Two
It had been another week before Jenna knocked on Kono's door knowing she might be the last hope for Steve to come out of this in one piece and without completely losing himself or the man his team had grown to love. Jenna was nothing more than a bystander, hadn't had enough time with the four of them to really become a member of the team and no matter how hard she is working to get Steve released, she's still not Five-0.
"Jenna?"
"Hi Kono."
They stood in the doorway staring at one another until Kono broke the silence. "What do you need Jenna?" she grumbled while motioning ever so slightly inside her home.
Jenna looked inside the apartment and saw two officers sitting on a couch. "Oh, I see you have company. I'll come back later with my questions. Sorry to interrupt gentlemen." Jenna turned and walked back to her car. She opened the door and sat in the driver's seat a moment before grabbing her phone and sending an email telling Kono to meet her at Danny's once she knew she was alone.

Danny walked slowly across his apartment when he heard the knock at the door. He wasn't expecting anyone so he was preparing himself for whatever representative might be at the door from HPD. He tilted his head when he saw the woman standing in front of him as he opened the door. "Why are you here Jenna?"
"I needed to speak to Kono and decided to meet her here. I wasn't followed and no one would suspect Kono visiting her accomplice's ex-partner that might be a little sketchy himself in all of this." Jenna made her way into his apartment and noticed the coffee stain still on the wall. "Having issues Danny?"
"Bad coffee."
"Okay, so I won't ask for a cup while I wait. Do you have anything else I can drink while we wait?"
"I never actually said you could wait here Jenna."
"You have nothing else to do, right Williams?" She rested her hands on her hips and waited for a response.
Danny put his hand on his heart and leaned back a bit before speaking. "Ouch. A little harsh don't you think? And how do you know I don't have anything to do? I might have plans."
"If the plans have anything to do with driving to a certain prison I am suggesting you change them." She wondered how much she should say before Kono arrives and decided she needed to say her piece because she had been holding it in much too long. "Okay Williams, if I could I would beat you to a pulp because you deserve that and probably much worse but I won't. My question for you is how could you mess with a man's heart and then go off and sleep with your ex? I'm assuming that happened more than once. Then how could you end up stupid enough to forget any sort of protection and proceed to get her pregnant like some stupid hormonal jackass teenager?"
"Ouch. Really?"
"Yes, really. What were you thinking Danny? Wait, I should rephrase that because I know what you were thinking with I just can't believe you would do that at your age. You are a grown man and you had the sense of some stupid teenager. Condoms. The pill. Both for goodness sakes. You do realize she is still married right? And not married to you. Why Danny? Do you know the word 'wait' or do you have any idea what the word patience means? I mean it is rather obvious those two words are not in your vocabulary and for some reason your dictionary doesn't have honesty, fidelity, or respect either." Jenna took a breath and was about to continue when Danny stopped her.
"No, you have absolutely no right at all to give me any lectures on how I am living my life. You don't know me. You plopped yourself into our lives, tried to be our friend and now you're here lecturing me on my life which is my business? You have no right and now you can leave. I will tell Kono you can meet her elsewhere." Danny grabbed her arm and ushered her to the door. He jumped as he opened it and saw Kono standing there, arm up, preparing to knock.
"Hey!" she said and walked quickly through the door, closing it behind her so no one saw Jenna standing with them. "What was that about Danny?" she asked and smacked his arm. "Let go of her and let her talk. She stopped by to see me, now you need to suck it up and let us have our conversation because honestly this might be the best place for us to meet." She glanced at Jenna and back at Danny before asking "okay, what's up?"
"He was escorting me outside because he doesn't want to hear what I have to say about how he screwed up his life and did what he did to Steve. Danny explained how I don't know any of you well enough to make any observations about how he might have screwed up his life in more ways than one."
Kono smiled and focused on Danny. "Oh so that is why we're here. I heard he won't see ya brah. Also heard you knocked up the married ex-wife which was a horrible choice. Protection brah, protection. What about no raincoat, no love that I used to hear about when I was in school that you have obviously forgotten?" She tilted her head and looked at Jenna. "Wasn't that it? Or something like that anyway." Kono brought her gaze back to Danny who was now uncharacteristically quiet and still. "Did you forget she was married? Or did you forget the two of you already created a life once upon a time when you had sex? Has it been so long brah that you forgot the birds and the bees?"
"I think the two of you can leave now."
"Oh no, we have just begun Danny." Jenna knew Kono was anything but finished ripping him a new one and she was certainly not missing any of it.
"No, you're finished."
Kono took two steps closer to Danny and glared at him. "No, not until you tell me why you ripped Steve's heart into a billion pieces."
Danny stared at Kono completely dumbfounded that he could possibly have broken Steve's heart in two pieces much less a billion pieces. "Why do you think his heart is broken and that it is my fault?"
"Danny, you didn't see him when you were in the hospital and he left the office that night to pick Grace up so she could spend the night with him. At his house Danny. He was going to take care of your daughter because you did the big heart thing and said you loved him. He was genuinely excited and we could all see it. Do you even know what you did to him? You broke through and he opened up to all of us I'm guessing in a way he never had before with anyone that wasn't immediate family. Little by little he opened himself and he fell for you. We've all gone through the academy so don't tell me Detective Williams that you didn't see any of it. Don't tell me you had no idea what you were doing. Don't tell me that those moments when you were all touchy-feely and calling him Babe that it was normal everyday speak for you because I don't remember you calling me Babe and I'm fairly certain you haven't called Jenna Babe."
"No, no babe. I feel a little left out now." Jenna folded her arms across her chest and watched as Danny became more uncomfortable with each word Kono spoke.
"I'm also pretty sure you haven't used the affectionate Babe on Chin either." She watched as Danny shook his head before continuing. "The way the two of you are when you are together is not a normal sort of friendship, not even for partners. Yes, I totally believe that you are best friends but I'm also a firm believer in the fact that best friends always end up making the best lovers. Yes, lovers. And then we find out that you've been fucking your married ex-wife for who knows how long. On top of that we find out she's pregnant, back in New Jersey and she's taken Grace fully expecting you to show up any moment and live your happily ever after, totally leaving Steve out of the equation. Steve, your partner that I know you fell in love with and left out in the cold not knowing anything because you neglected to tell him what might be going on or what you might be feeling for him or for Rachel."
Kono took a deep breath and as much as she wanted to continue giving Danny hell she couldn't anymore. She needed to grab a board and hit the waves or she would explode. "I have to go. I cannot be here right now and I have a feeling this is exactly why Jenna wanted to meet me here. I am telling you right now Danny; you had better fix this because I want Steve back. I don't want the SEAL that we saw in the beginning that had a bit of the cold aloof side no one could get to. I want the warm, fuzzy, happy, goofy Steve that you helped find inside of himself that I am sure he had hidden away ages ago. Fix him Danny or go to Jersey and don't ever come back." She smiled best she could at Jenna and walked to the door. "I mean it haole, fix him" she ordered before walking outside and slamming the door behind her.
"Yes." Jenna was beaming and as she turned to face Danny she simply stated "I concur." She followed Kono out of Danny's apartment knowing it wouldn't be long before word would get to Chin and he would convince Steve to let Danny visit. She just hoped it would be soon enough and that Steve wasn't completely broken.
